Laural Warren

Laural Warren is a vice-president in the behavioural economics team at Swiss Re, under the life and health research and development group. She has a MBA from Cornell University and joined Swiss Re in 2007 from ABN AMRO, where she focused on capital markets risk analytics. She has designed behavioural economics trials, created behavioural economics-focused marketing and underwriting packages for clients, and presented behavioural economics as it applies to insurance for a number of conferences and clients in the U.S. and Canada.

She sits on a core team of researchers who are bringing insights from behavioural economics into the world of insurance in order to better understand and predict customer behaviour. Through the means of live field tests with clients around the globe, they are helping to improve outcomes in the fields of sales, underwriting, retention, and claims. In the Americas, over 25 tests are in progress and producing business benefits. In addition, she contributes to other research initiatives in Swiss Re, including improving health behaviours of employees, and increasing diversity and inclusion.
