Marc Tardif

Marc Tardif is the 56th President of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries, holding the position for the 2019–2020 term.

After 40 years in the profession, he retired from Deloitte in 2017 and now works as an independent consultant.

A CIA volunteer for 35 years and CIA gold award winner, Mr. Tardif’s first assignment was in 1984 when he joined the Program Committee. Since then, he served in 27 volunteer positions including the Human Resources, Finance, Audit and Risk Committee, International Relations Council, and Solvency Standards for Financial Institutions Committee. As well, he was a member of the Blue Ribbon Task Force on Public Policy, chaired the Member Services Council, and served on the CIA Board.

Mr. Tardif holds a bachelor’s degree in actuarial science from Université Laval.
